Cocreating Wellness One Patient Partnership at a Time
Dr. Elizabeth "Lizzy" Morgan, MD, is a double-board certified Family Medicine and Integrative Medicine physician born and raised in Arkansas. She created CocreationMD/Cocreation Healing Arts LLC to fill a gap she saw in medicine as both a patient and physician. Dr. Morgan says she wasn't born for the corporate medical system- she was born to break it down and built a new one!
She graduated from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, with a BA in Sociology and Anthropology. She completed her medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas. She then ventured to Redding, California, for her family medicine residency at the UCDavis Shasta Community Health Center.
Dr. Morgan has a diverse career background, including full-scope family medicine with obstetrics, geriatrics, and completing a fellowship at the University of Arizona Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine. Dr. Morgan is one of the only fellowship-trained integrative doctors in Springfield. Dr. Morgan uses a combination of complementary health modalities and evidence-based pharmaceuticals for both chronic and acute conditions. She is an empathic listener who encourages patients to recognize their own innate ability to heal their body, mind, and spirit. She has a particular interest in mental healthcare, driven by a strong family history and her own personal journey of healing trauma, grief, and burnout. She also has experience practicing energy medicine (Reiki), auricular acupuncture, hormone optimization, and women's healthcare.
Dr. Morgan has personal experience as both a patient and a provider, as she has struggled with chronic illness in recent years. By embracing the healing she was taught in fellowship, Dr. Morgan has overcome many hardships and carries this humbling experience with her for every patient encounter. As a patient, Dr. Morgan sought validation, clarity, and humility from her providers and now seeks to provide that for each of her patients. Dr. Morgan is the person to see if all your testing has been NORMAL and you still feel bad - she has truly been there!
In her free time, Dr. Morgan enjoys exploring new restaurants, attending live music events, traveling, writing, and caring for her many pets: two dogs, one cat, a tarantula, a ball python and an aquarium full of fish. She also finds joy in spending time with her partner, Jahron, her hilarious son, Sean (4), and her spiritual community.
